The Autumn Half Marathon and Autumn 5 Miles will take place on Sunday September 13th. The two lap 13.1 mile course will commence from the Piazza Terracina, Haven Road and take a scenic route along Exeter’s historic Quayside and around the Riverside Valley Park. There is a maximum completion time of 3 hrs 30 mins.
As well as the pride that comes with finishing a half marathon, you’ll receive a bespoke medal for your efforts.

The Autumn 5 Miles Sunday September 13th – Start time 8:45am
Alongside the Exeter Autumn Half Marathon we are holding a 5 mile event. Our aim is always to encourage as many participants as is possible for our events and to cater for all abilities, this 5 mile run allows flourishing runners to take part and also some of our younger runners.
The route will take you along the Exeter Quayside, through the scenic Riverside Valley Park and back to the finish line at Haven Banks to pick up your medal.
Start Time: 8:45am
Finish Time: 12:00am
As always, we organise these events to support a range of sports participation and wellbeing activities for people of all ages across the community.
Your entry into this race really does help to have a positive impact on those most in need across our city, and we thank you for your support.

The UK Athletics minimum age requirements state participants to be at least 17 years old on the day of the event.
A half marathon is 13.1 miles or 21.1 kilometers long.

It’s not necessary to run the full distance in training. Building up to a 10-mile run can sufficiently prepare you for the race.
A balanced training plan should include short runs, long runs, cross-training, and rest days. It’s important to plan your workouts in advance and adjust them to fit your schedule. See our training tips above for more in-depth guidance.
Support typically includes water stations and medical assistance.
Results are usually shared via email and on webscorer shortly after the race.
Medals are provided to all finishers.
Common facilities include toilets, water station, a recovery area, medical station, and a bag store.
