Girls Development Centre

The Exeter City Women and Girls’ Pathway provides opportunities for players to play and develop from the age of five right through to senior women’s football.

The Girls’ Development Centre provides talented young female players in Exeter and the surrounding areas the opportunity to develop in a technical and tactical programme, through weekly training sessions throughout the season and regional fixtures, held during school holiday periods. The programme is designed to support player development with players encouraged to continue representing their local grassroots clubs & schools whilst attending the centre.

The centre is managed by Aaron Wakley, who has a wealth of experience in girls and women’s football, Aaron also supports the Exeter College Women’s Football Academy programme.

At Exeter City we have development centres in Exeter and North Devon and also offer a Junior Premier League (JPL) games programme for Under 14s and Under 16s. This elite programme offers the opportunity for players to play against teams from other regions in the south west and enhance their development.

Trial process for all squads take place each summer.
