Enthusiastic runners braved the rain and took to the paths alongside the River Exe as our annual Half Marathon returned in record-breaking style, with 1,403 participants signing up for the event across two days.

Runners of all ages and abilities laced up their trainers to take on the popular event, enjoying a memorable weekend that delivered a true taste of British weather from start to finish!
Many participants ran in support of charities and good causes close to their hearts, raising thousands of pounds for local and national organisations, as well as for the work of Exeter City Community Trust. In addition, profits from the event are channelled into the delivery of our health and wellbeing activity.
Jamie Vittles, Chief Executive of Exeter City Community Trust, said: “From first-time runners to experienced athletes, the atmosphere was fantastic. Events like this show the power of community, bringing people together to challenge themselves while also raising vital funds for charities.
“We couldn’t deliver events of this scale without our amazing staff and volunteers, and the incredible support from sponsors and local businesses. Their dedication helps to create such a fantastic experience for everyone involved, and it’s great to see the positive impact of the event on our community across what is such an inspiring weekend each year here in Exeter.”
Our running events are supported by: Headline sponsor Tozers LLP. Charity and event partners: Ilec Group, Eagle One, Robson Financial, Exeter College, Exeter City Council, Children’s Hospice South West, Exeter Leukaemia Fund and Alright Mate CIC.
The next event is the Granite Way 10 and 20 miles, which takes place along the Granite Way path from Okehampton on March 8 and the Exeter Live Better Marathon and Community Five Mile on May 3.
